Can a RAID 0 setup be used with Linux?

I have a two IBM 30gigs hd in RAID 0 configuration. I was wondering it is possible to run linux on these harddisk. Do I need a special boot image?

if there's a driver for the controller card for linux, than you probably should be able to. you may need to make your own bootdisk though, i THINK there's instructions on how to do that in the docs that come with distributions.

Are you talking about two simple hard drives that you're wanting to do software RAID with, or a hardware RAID setup that acts like a single drive, or, two drives on a RAID controller card -- the answer to all of those is "yes" but the details are different for each.
