Ok. I'm running Debian 2.whatever and I upgraded to XF86 4.1.0. But now there's a problem with XF86, xfm wont start at bootup and my system just hangs there. I read another post that said to hit 'i' but that didn't work (the only time I've ever seen that happen was on my RedHat 6.2 distro)

How can I get past loading xfm?

Boot into single user mode - at the LILO boot, type linux single (or if your label isn't "linux", replace it with whatever is appropriate)
