In mandrake , I have the xserver running and all but the cursor pushes the desktop up and down.. how can I get it to stop doing this? I want no vitual term or virtual desktop?

Shad 11-29-2000, 05:59 PM Edit your XF86Config(-4) file and and make sure your highest resolution is the one you want to be default. If you set your default resolution to be lower then the highest available option, then you will have a virtual desktop.
