RedHat 6.2, I finaly got the dhcp server running right with much help from here and many of you. Well onto the next problem. My 2 windows pc's will grap ip's from the linux server but they still cant get online. Linux can browse the internet fine. Does this problem's fix lye in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and eth1 ?
Also when restarting the dhcp server form a terminal it fails to restart. "No subnet declaration for eth0 (MY.***.IP.**). Please write a subnet declaration for the network segment to which interface eth0 is attached".
RedHat 6.2 dhcp looks for a seperate file for lease's. I managed to figure this one out on my own. I feel experianced now. Yeah right.
In RedHats control panel for networking there is a page for routing. Do i need to suply anything here? And what should eth1 be set to? Not dhcp. Static or none.
Thanx for all your help people!
