Wich is the best solution/applications to achieve a complete remote administration, management of a Linux box ?

For remote administration, defnintely ssh (Secure Shell) to log in, as sniffers can easily get to your password and take control of your machine with unprotected protocols like telnet. Also - make sure you grab ssh1, not ssh2, as ssh2 has some pretty toxic licensing terms. As for tools, top, ps, w and df are nice tools to gather realtime information from a shell. vim is an excellent for editing config files and writing / editing scripts.
