One thing I have noticed on my computer is that Grub has a hard time loading Windows and Lilo has a hard time loading linux. Go figure.

What exactly do you mean by a "hard time"?

Hardtime? 10min? 5min? 1min? 30sec?

There's no difference between Grub and Lilo in booting up...

For me, I like lilo better... http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

Heh I didn't think it would be that hard to figure out when I ment. What I ment was lilo can't load linux worth crap (it don't load it at all) and grub can't load windows. Does that clear a few things? Well at least this is true on my system.

Of course grub can load windows. Have you configured it properly? Documentation tells you how or do a search for grub here http://support.calderasystems.com/caldera

One day in a college Philosophy class, the professor was lecturing on the nature of feelings and sensations. "Life is a wonderful array of sensations and experiences. A part of the quest for truth is learning to appreciate those sensations. A man truly in touch with his experiences and his existence can derive as much pleasure from, say, having a bowel movement as he can, say, having a sexual encounter. I myself have found that to be true."

A student raised his hand. "Sir, either you have no idea how to properly have sex, or I have no idea how to properly take a crap."

Lilo boots Linux (after % second delay) and windows (seperate HDD) just fine for me. Try different settings when you edit your lilo config and make sure your windows partition or HDD is mounted as /mnt/windows - it makes it easier to find http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif I had to use my old mandrake install that was on the other computer to determine how this was done, so I copied what I had to so the darn thing would work and PRESTO! Magnifique!

I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.

Is that "man" as in "mankind", or "man" as in "males"? If the latter, ladyfolk are still fair game, right?
