I tried printing it and putting it into my cdrom but I think I broke my cdrom ??? Craig McPherson 01-03-2001, 02:41 AM Your printer resolution is probably set wrong. davolfman 01-03-2001, 05:12 AM Ha Ha. Just remember: If you have broadband don't mention it. Those of us who don't at least know what city you live in from your profile. UncleMonty 01-05-2001, 01:39 PM LOL! Thanks for brightening my day, Craig! Uhm... Could you post a Mandrake distro next? http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif Craig McPherson 01-12-2001, 12:31 AM You should be able to edit it with Gimp. merlyn 01-14-2001, 10:22 PM Thanks, Craig! This thread was the funniest thing I've seen lately! I needed a good laugh- I was going to try 'Drake 7.2, but I'll use your suggestion and upgrade with GIMP. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif merlyn optech 01-18-2001, 12:22 AM i'm stressed out. i have a headache, my dad broke my cell phone, he's kicking me out, he keeps disconnecting my internet line, and my life is going to the ****ter... but that was funny enough to make me piss my pants... fsck!! now i have something new to worry about!! thanks craig.... ------------------ A zombified, somnambulist society. On the surface you hate, but you know you need me. digital_spawn 01-18-2001, 07:58 AM ha, ha, i want mandrake , please pipe 01-20-2001, 02:06 PM hee-larious! BTW, Craig what marker are you using on that CD? Sharpie? I have a TDK CD marker but it is too fine and I want a nice fat (and phat) marker. ------------------ gpgkey (http://www.ipass.net/~robfrank/gpgkey) Craig McPherson 01-20-2001, 03:40 PM Sharpie Permanent. Black. vvx 01-20-2001, 06:17 PM Well, I adjusted my printer resolution and still couldn't get it, so I'm about 20 hours in on the iso from my local mirror.. Ofcourse, everything on my computer is more upgraded than 2.2r2, but if I need to reinstall or install on another computer (which I will shortly enough) it'll be nice to have. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif Craig McPherson 01-20-2001, 07:24 PM I've made a very serious mistake. It was NOT a Sharpie Permanent. It was a Marks-A-Lot Permanent. "Marks Almost Anything." When you demand the best in markers, DEMAND Marks-A-Lot. Marks-A-Lot, by Avery Dennison. flar 01-21-2001, 06:57 PM HOW BOUT SLACKWARE? kewl! http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/cool.gif sssadams 01-21-2001, 10:27 PM my cdrom doesn't like verbatim disks http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif You should have used Mitsumi Gold Craig McPherson 01-22-2001, 12:31 AM Well, when you buy me a CD-R, it can be a Mitsumi. Whipping Boy 01-25-2001, 07:16 PM That took about 34 seconds. You lied to me, Craig. I have no respect for you any more. ------------------ Kurt Weber Shell scripts? Shell scripts? I've never understood why Bill Gates would name his company after his penis Jason Deraleau 01-28-2001, 05:19 PM Ok....that was funny. Now can I get some help installing Debian? I still haven't gotten it working yet...my linux box is sitting idly while I do all kinds of nifty schtuff wit de ole win2k Jason ------------------ You've got questions? We've got sarcasm. goozey 01-31-2001, 09:19 PM That "Marks-A-Lot" plug sounds supiciously like a Alan Kalter schpeel... Sharpie fan myself. I found that if I downloaded tha image, then took it into photoshop and did some fine tuning, brought it into Neato, and pressed out a sticker.. which i then applied to that new AOL 5.0 (well the cd was new, but i realize that 6 is out) CD i got the other day - with 56K turbo on it... it installed Debian like no one's business... saweet. mmmm...... bacon. prince_kenshi 02-08-2001, 05:56 AM Hey, I've been wanting Debian. The only problem is that I don't have a printer. I'm going to try saving the pic as an iso file and burning it on a cd of my own. Wish me luck. Strike 02-08-2001, 12:54 PM Dude, you have to print the OTHER side, DUH! That's where the data is, gawd. With THAT I can simply print it up, tape it onto a blank CD-R and be good to go. prince_kenshi 02-08-2001, 06:23 PM But if you save it, it will save both sides right? I mean it's a jpeg, it saves as a 3 dimensional image, right? I saved it as an iso and I'm going to burn it soon. Wish me luck. Yes, it's READ through the bottom, but the data itself is actually right under the label, so that scratches to the bottom of the disc have less of a chance of destroying the data: you can basically sandpapper the bottom of the disc if it gets scratched, and be able to read the disc again, because the data is at the top. (Man, I don't think I like this new UBB version. I've been on UBB boards for like 3-4 years now, but this upgrade makes me slightly ill...) http://users.ipa.net/~cmcpher/paminv.gif DEBIAN http://users.ipa.net/~cmcpher/paminv.gif It turns girls into statues!
