Hey there!
I just compiled kernel 2.4.0-test11 and everything went well except for when I wanted to install something from a CDROM.
When I type mount /dev/cdrom /cdrom (like I've always done), it spins into action but when I try to view the contents of it using ls -l it replies with a total 0.
So when I boot into my debian box with the old kernel (2.2.17) it all works fine.
So what should I do when I recompile my 2.4 kernel. I thought I covered everything very thoroughly. Any ideas would be great!
Thanks in advance!

That's what I figured but I could swear I made sure I selected iso9660.
Do I need Joliet extensions?
I didn't select that. I didn't think I needed that -- just the iso9660.
Thanks gang!
