Hi again,
I was finally able to install Caldera's OpenLinux 2.2 on my machine. I've even got Partition BootMagic setup to boot to Win98 or Linux. Problem is; Linux won't let me login. I've tried over and over to user my User ID and password (as a user and superuser) but nothing happens. Any ideas? Tips? Please don't tell me I need to re-install! (unless I must . . .)

Thanks,

If you have a boot disk, boot using the boot disk and then mount your linux partition manually and edit /etc/passwd and remove the password for root.

I've done it before... then u just reboot normally, boot into linux and the root account won't have a password (better fix that tho!).

If you can't wrestle that one then you probably need to reinstall. You either gotta remember your password, hack into your own system or kill it and start again http://discussions.linuxplanet.com//smile.gif
