There's a KDE help file that you can access by right clicking on your desktop. Once you open Help on desktop, click on Application manuals, then open Networking, then Remote access, then Internet Dialer. This will tell you everything you need to know.

there is an option in the mandrake control centre for network, and in the configure button goes onto a menu which asks you how you wanna connect to the internert, and select dialup
