it says you can in the install text file. It says how to prepare it it just dosn't go anyware from there

Are you talking about installing from a FAT partition, or installing on a FAT partition?

I don't know of any way to install FreeBSD _on_ to a FAT partition. It would be rather insecure.

It says to a FAT partition. But if there is no way do they have somthing like lilo for bsd?
