kernel 2.4 going gold in December

I just saw this on LinuxToday.com

2.4 is gonna go gold in December and it's claimed by Linux Torvalds himself.
Woohoo!

Hopefully it'll make our lives a little easier and more productive (whatever that means)

Yeah, no problems here with test10. I was going to complain it didnt recogise my cd/dvd but I found out the IDE cable wasnt plugged in!

The 2.4 kernels break sound on my system, and nobody knows why.

They just do; and it's REALLY doubtful that I'm going to end up installing 2.4 if I can't get sound working properly. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/frown.gif
