Currently multi-booting Win98SE, Win2KPro, Linux (RH7 or LM7.2), and BeOS5PE.
I have set aside some HD space for Solaris and have gotten my hands on the CDs. The free HD space lies within an extended partition. I go to the partitioning point in the install and could only see the single primary partition (C: in Windows) and the extended partition.
Must Solaris 8 be installed on a primary partition?
If I could format that reserved area for Solaris (may currently be ext2 formatted), would the install automatically see it and install there?
What are my other *non-destructive* options for my existing partition table?
Thanks in advance.
-SUO, also in search of some *good* Solaris install docs
