How do i prevent from shutting off automaticly after a certain time.
I'dd rather have my screensaver, i'm
using Mandrake 7.1.
Also, is it easy to upgrade to KDE 2 ?

dependingon what version of X you are using, if you are using xfree86 3.x use
xset -dpms
if you are using xfree86 4.0 there is an entry under the moniter section for (dis)enabling dpms. there are also options in the screen saver section of the kde and gnome config tools.

The upgrade to KDE2 is fairly easy. I followed the procedures here http://linux.nf/stepbystep.htm and also kde.org may have links to distro specific upgrades.
