FTP Install/Upgrade

Can someone tell me how to do and ftp Install/Upgrade to FreeBSD 4.2

Also why is the freebsd community hostile towards newbies.

Do they want the system to drop out of existance.

Just download kern.flp (1st floppy) and mfsroot.flp (2nd floppy), you will be asked for what type of install you like (i.e. NFS, CDRom, FTP and etc)

Who cares if FreeBSD doesn't gain many users. Keep the number less would make FreeBSD users stand out and unique from Linux. If one is not qualify, just don't try FreeBSD and stick with your Linux toy.

The comment on freebsd having few users is stupid. The system is great and it is more than just a pass time or video game.

If the BSD community is serious about the software than it needs to spread the word and help others.
