i have a sparcstation 5 that i put openbsd on.. didn't like it so i went with redhat6.2.
this runsr really nice, except no one seems to know how to get my telnet and ftp working.

is there any other os's that you would suggest for me? all i want to do is to have telnet ftp and a proxy server running on it.
thanx

Solaris, Debian, SuSE or NetBSD.

OpenBSD makes a great ftp/telnet server. My Sparc5 got hosed recently. Freaking Cycle Computer upgrades. Anyway they are going to fix it and return it soon. I used it for an ftp/telnet server running redhat, but I be switching back to OpenBSD.

Solaris is the best for a sparc system. I was made to fit together like bread and butter.
