Well folks I am jumping ship on the Mac OS and switching to Yellow Dog linux. it arrives tommorow. Also getting a new Kensington Pro optical 4 button mouse to use with Linux. I hope it works. Any advice or help would be wonderful.

Thanx in advance.

Good for you. I like the Logitech optical wheel mouse. Cheap too. YDL Rocks.

in /etc/conf.modules type 'alias sound dmasound'

You will see why. that is how you get sound to work

Oh. Just a note. I have my own board that I plan on using to create a collection of resources for my self, and others. Much like this one.

I hope this is not considered spam, I do not mean for it to be, just an addition of places to go and find stuff out.

I tried your board ... it didn't work ... maybe because I won't download the stuff they kept asking me too... Anyway... If you have a zip drive in or on your machine, put a disk in the drive before the install. Otherwise pdisk will fail

I used pDisk before the install. I didn't have a disc in my zip and it went fine. When it asks to use pdisk or disk druid, I lanch into pdisk, type pdisk L, look over the data, then q and YDL is satisfied that you have set up the partitions.
