Has anyone done this? Are there any known hardware compatibility issues?

Don't know why it wouldn't work but then again I'm new at this. I've got LinuxPPC 2000 Q4 runing on my powerbook(firewire/pismo). I've seen post about imac's using linux why not an ibook? If you got the machine and the desire it could just work.

Use LinuxPPC ( http://www.linuxppc.com ), YellowDog ( http://www.yellowdoglinux.com ), or SuSE ( http://www.suse.com )

One caveat, it takes alot of dicking around with it to get things going. Alot of dicking around this is no consumer base OS. It can be very painful messing with it.

However the hours I've spent playing Quake3Arena, Deus Ex, Oni, Myth, etc have never never been as productive as this new "game" linux. Then again they aren't suppose to be. ;-]
