Hello, I'm putting a 46GB IBM Deskstar in my gray&clear G4. If I want to dedicate a partition to linux, what distro would you people advise I use?

I heard SuSE is pretty good. You might want to check www.maximumlinux.com (http://www.maximumlinux.com) for an article they have on mac and linux.

The distro's I know of are: LinuxPPC, MkLinux, Debian, SuSE, and Rock. Check linuxppc.org. They have a good list. Also, the new version of LinuxPPC is supposed to come out soon, so for that, check linuxppc.com

Hi!
I'm new to many of Your expressions. Is distro another word for operating system?
