Hello,
I've just installed a Mandrake Linux by a friend.
We succeededed in configuring XFree, that is to say we have got a 1024x728 mode, which is more comfortable in comparison with a lower one. But the window size and the fonts are uncomfortable. This is not a real problem : with Windows OS it is the same problem when the mode resolution is not good : too big windows in comparison with the screen size meanwhile it is possible to work but it is very uncomfortable.

The point is I don't now exactly what to configure to get a normal working station and normal sizes.

Can you give me an information ?
(even if I am convinced it is something very simple to do)

Thank you for your future help.

What window manager/desktop environment are you using? KDE/GNOME/Fluxbox/Blackbox/E/Windowmaker/Sawfish/etc/etc????

The Window Manager is KDE2.

Another question I would like to solve is:
How can we get the xdm login window at the beginning instead of the kdm login window.

Thanks for all.
