How do I change the initial style for when fb boots up,I tried adding the path to /etc/X11/fluxbox/init in session.stylefile, but that didn't seem to work.Also how do can I keep my workspace name so I don't have to rename it every session?

If you have a ~/.fluxbox/init file, you have to change the path there, it overrides the system wide configuration file. There you can also rename the Workspaces, it's

session.screen0.workspaceNames: Name1, Name2, ...
