Ok i have sorted out the problem from my last post and i now have SuSE 7 running. But i have the KDE envioment and i don't want it. I prefer GNOME. How do i install the GNOME envioment?

I a SuSE7 cd from a mag and i also have Redhat7 which will have GNOME?
Can i use the Redhat GNOME on the SuSE?

Anyway please help?

Maybe you could use the RedHat's GNOME, too, but I think SuSE and RH put the GNOME files into different directories so it may cause probs later. Are you sure you don't have GNOME on that SuSE CD? Start YaST and see if you can install GNOME from that CD. When you have GNOME installed, put the following line into file named .xinitrc in your home directory (that file may already exist and contain a lot of stuff but simply back it up and make a new one):
exec gnome-session
That should do it.
