I installed a network monitering product called netsaint. I followed all the directions, but when run the shell script in /etc/rc.d/init/ I get
bash: /root/.bashrc: Permission denied
I am loged in as root, any advice would be helpfull.

Wait a minute...YOU run a script in /etc/rc.d/init/ ? Stuff in /etc/rc.d is supposed to run when changing runlevels.
Why would you want that? And what script?
