Installing Gnome 1.4.1

Hi all,

I was just wondering if it's possible to install Gnome 1.4.1 without all the Ximian packages? I have nothing but trouble when I install it.

the only way i ever got it to install was by going onto ftp.ximian.com, and downloading the rpm for redcarpet. then just use red carpet to upgrade gnome.
otherwise you could download the source.
