rh 7.1 seawolf modem ( external) setup problem

it does not have gettydef, I do not know how to setup modem. I can setup modem connection in rh 7.0!!!!

where is gettydef? If I follow the previous as spell out in 7.0, I do not know what to do next?

Right now, I change add a line in inittab in /etc/. and that is awainting some feedback from folks????

some one show me p to p setup, show me url ????

first, I am sorry but I have to tell this ,
my motherboard has it on-board svga and sound card. I added 128mb and then extra 64 mb in two memory bank.

I have a thousand times in x-configurator, I can't get the x-windows up. I need to setup modem with script ( conf files) not via gui.
