Before, I was using partitions.

Now, I have a seperate computer which has no need for partitions or Windows. Now, when I install 'drake 8.0 (no advice about distro's please), is there anything I should do different? This is going to be a 'drake only box.

No, Drake 8's an easy install. DrakX is a completely graphical installer, and the choices are self explanatory.

You should boot from the CD (if possible), then just answer the questions. DrakX will do the rest. I've installed every Windows OS out there, and Drake 8 is quicker, and just as easy.

If you want more info, check out the Mandrake site here. (http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/demos/Demo/)

Let us know how it goes! :)

If you're doing any kind of networking, or web surfing; partitions are still a good idea (for security reasons).
