is there a way to make windows see my linux partitions ?? i could have swore i read or heard of a way

Yes, samba. If it's win 9x/me, I recommend the "plain text tutorial" at www.linuxjunior.org (http://www.linuxjunior.org) ;) . Editing this, I may have just told you something stupid. Samba doesn't apply if windows and linux are on the same box, unless you have something like vmware.

I believe what you're looking for is Explore2fs (http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/explore2fs.htm) a small program for Win9x/NT/2000 that allows you to browse the contents of ext2 (Linux native) filesystems. If your Linux partitions are ReiserFS, XFS or another type of journaling filesystem you may be out of luck with this one and have no choice but using a program like VMWare, but if your Linux partitions are ext2 this should be what you want.

again i havent provided all the info .. bad habit

its win2k and i wanna share files if possible so i can make use of the 20 gb HS linux is using in either OS , im using fat32 in win2k

ill try bolth of those , but i just had to come back and post all my info to break the habit
