EscapeCharacter 12-18-2000, 09:13 PM ive been having something similar happen but my connection doesnt die that much. im thinking of switching to some other isp. ------------------ I like source it never *****es about dependencies --Escchr 2000 nutile 12-20-2000, 04:50 AM With the experiences I have had with PAC bell techs (this is only an opinion) it is a good idea to switch. Internet connect is okay. ANy way PAC Bell's tech after being on hold for awhile and then talking to a level -1 tech had no real solution. They said also that having two network cards in a machine was trouble. I asked what if an owner of a business is on a LAN and wants internet access just for himself? They just had no real answer it was like out WAN or your LAN no option. DUMB. Anyway is there a way to keep the PPPOE from timing out? I have seen on a Linksys router device the option to time out the connection for PPPOE. Also the site www.freesco.com (http://www.freesco.com) amy have some info and www.linksys.com (http://www.linksys.com) which has some good networking info and links.
