KDE on Redhat 7

I'm running KDE on Rehat 7 and it won't let me access linuxconf. This is very annoying as linuxconf is a very handy tool for configuring my system. Has anyone else had problems running linuxconf like this before? If it helps the error message I get is something like "cannot open linuxconf". Using the rpm -q command it shows linuxconf installed but it does not run it. Any help or suggestions appreciated, thankyou

My distro does not include linuxconf, but I do believe it has to be run as root/su root.

You didn't mention which userid your trying as, so hopefully that is the solution.
