Instead of untarring every file, how can i install these in a simple setup? Any ideas? demian 04-17-2001, 02:04 PM Originally posted by Marcel2008: <STRONG>Thanks, i noticed these are tar/gz. However, ximian hasn't realeased 1.4 yet. So you either wait for them to realease 1.4 (shouldn't take too long) or you follow the instructions on this page (http://www.gnome.org/start/installing/index.php3) and compile it from source. Aikidoka 04-17-2001, 03:48 PM If you run Debian, they have it on unstable. inkedmn 04-18-2001, 12:11 PM if you go to www.download.com (http://www.download.com) and search for gnome, it will come up and redirect you to another site that gives you instructions on exactly how to download and install it, and it's friggin' easy (i'm newbie as hell and i figured it out). hope this helps justlinux.com
