Just curious if anywone knows how to change the font size of the command line? Not in an X environment console window, mind you, but in the traditional unix/linux text-based environment prior to startx.

Any replies are much appreciated.

If you are using lilo, edit your /etc/lilo.conf. There should be a line in there vga=something. It can be any value from 1-9. One is the smallest, but also with the smallest leading, so everything is kind of scrunched. The best way is to use a bootloader that can automatically change your screen resolution using the frame buffer, but I don't know how to manually configure this. Mandrake 7.2 does it with grub automatically for you.
