how to change wallpaper for CDE?

Hi,

my school is using CDE for our labs. I kind of hate the dull background n would like to change it to a wallpaper of my own. The nearest I came to achieve that is to change the pattern of the wallpapers.

So how do I go about changing it? There doesn't seem to have any functions to specify your own wallpaper.

Do a google search for cde backdrops

Well I have edited the .dtprofile and these are the changes I made at the end of the file:

DTSOURCEPROFILE=true
xv -root -max -quit time.jpg

But even though I have turned off the backdrop, it seemed to have no effect at all when I login. All I see is black cos I remove the backdrop. It does work only when I type in the xv command directly, but of course it disappears when I exited. Any help here?
