I always worked with KDE or my simple console until here, but now I have to use Gnome for some personnal reasons...

I had a problem, no good window system... So I had a look in a book about my distrib (SuSE 7.1), which says that Sawfish is probably the best. Sawfish wasn't installed on my computer, so I did it. Now, Gnome seems to run under Sawfish but it still prints out that the window system isn't totally compatible with Gnome... And when I want to configure Sawfish, I get a "Sawfish isn't running" message !

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated of course :D

Go to the Gnome control Panel and make sure Sawfish is selected as the window manager.
