I'm thinking about buying Linix, but i have some questions. Does Linux support dual cpu's?? Someone told me that only windows NT supports dual cpu's.

The 2.2 kernel that was released this year supports dual processors. New distributions are likely to be based on that kernel (Red Hat 6, for instance).

Alternatively, you can upgrade an existing installation to 2.2 with a kernel rebuild which is far, far less scary than it sounds.

Not having a dual processor machine I can't comment on how you configure this though.

At least with kernel 2.2 there's no problem with dual cpu's.

RedHat 6.0 and SuSE 6.1 have been released with the 2.2 kernel and they do support dual processors.
Good Luck and Welcome.
