I'm just getting started on Samba, but is there a way to 'see' what's on a network segment from w/in Linux? Seems like you have to know everything about a volume before you can see it. I run a small network at home, but I can't figure out how to access thier drives like I would from another Winblows machine.

I've been playing with gnomba and komba, but they don't seem to be able to log into a machine at share level - with no password. It displays shares, but always assumes that if you want to mount them you have to have a password. It gives windows a lot more credit that it deserves for security.
