php and mysql in Debian

i've been trying to install php and mysql for a while now... i just wanted to make sure that with Debian, i could do an apt-get to get them installed... i hate the stupid dependencies with rpms... and my last distro didn't come with a compiler!!!

I'm not really sure what your question is.
Are you asking if Debian's apt will get php and mysql for you?
I don't see why not.
