Are they worth the hassel of installing? Eterm I have been working with for almost a week now, and I think I have enlightenment ready to go. But, is it worth it?

Enlightenment is great - high on functionality and eye-candy, but not incredibly slim. Don't get me wrong, though - E can run in a fairly small memory footprint with a lot of stuff turned off, but it can't rival WM's like Blackbox when they are optimized.
Eterms are neat, but they are just more than what I need. I like my consoles simple and neat, so I use Xterms with a couple of custom modifications via my ~/.Xdefaults file.

Another great term instead of Eterm, and if you still want a little of the cool features like shading and transparency, is aterm. It is extremely light on system resources, even better than xterm I think. I use it all the time.
And yes E is a very good wm, nice eyecandy and features. But at the moment I use blackbox because it's so light and customisable.

you guys were right. E is pretty awesome to play around with. still cant get eterm working. It has been a pain in the anus. Is Aterm any easier to setup?
