Firstly I appologize for the cross posting, but it has just occured to me that I originally posted this in general questions.
system
Debian (woody)
Intl Celeron 300 o/c to 464
192Mb ram
matrox mystique G200 4Mb
running WindowMaker
I spent 6 hours getting this installed and working, only to find its slower than 3.3.6 was so I was wondering if there are any settings I may have overlooked and anything that can speed this up a little bit.
I really don't want to downgrade to 3.3.6 mainly cos I'm stubborn and will not admit defeat at the hands of a piece of software. So if anyone has any ideas of what I can do to get it moving faster apart from changing windowmanagers and downgrading then please suggest away.
In the mean time I'll be reading man pages.
