I am trying to get X on my laptop using Xfree86 version 4.0.3 and I think I just about have it except I get the following error:
(II) LoadModule: "svga"
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module svga
(II) UnloadModule: "svga"
(EE) Failed to laod module "svga" (module does not exist, 0)
I am using Debian.
Is this module something I have to write into my config file? or can I use dselect to get the module off of my Debian CD. I have the current default to be 16 bpp vs the 8 bpp. When I do 8 bpp after running xf86config I can get blackbox to showup but the cursor is stuck at the bottom of the screen and the view is only 800x600. So I wanted to get 16bbp with 1024x768 and I get an error with the 16bbp so I tried tweaking the file and that is the error I get. Any help is appreciated!
Thanks.
