How do you install new fonts for Linux? And can linux use True Type fonts (windows ttf)?

Candy,
you can install fonts by finding font packages - they will end in .tar.gz or .tgz. Just do a search for "Linux font packages" with your favorite search engine.
TT fonts are usable with Linux, provided you install 'Xfstt' (X Font Server - True Type) which is available at www.freshmeat.net (http://www.freshmeat.net) - once again, just use freshmeat's loacal search to find 'Xfstt' - you may then use all the TTF's from any windows box you can 'borrow' them from.
