I went onto a Red Hat mirror site (ftp.ou.edu) and read the readme on ftp installing. I got the three disks (boot disk, support disk, and rescue disk) it said to get and "rawrited" them to three diskettes. If I boot with the boot disk will I be able FTP install it? I am on a permanent LAN connection. Thanks.

Pappy,
Why not just download everything first, then install that way? It will take almost the same amount of time. Trying to install FTP, expecially now will be extremely slow because this is the first weekend that 6.0 has been out. Just download it to your hdisk, and run the install from there.

Thanks, but I think I will try the FTP installation because the FTP I'm getting it off of doesn't have 6.0 yet and is very fast. I just downloaded and read the entire installation section of the Red Hat manuel and I think I will able to do it. Also, if I downloaded the entire 500 MB or so onto my dos partition I would have much less room to make my Linux partition, whereas this way I can have a larger Linux partition and only get the files I want.
