I tried it and got something that looks like a core dump.
I can't boot the thing from disk. ( I get the same result)
________QUESTION_______
Was RH7 compiled for a Pentium system?
and how can you tell?
Just wondering

RH7 should run.

Mandrake is the only one that is P optimized that I know of.

It theroreticly shold work, but redhat7 is yucky, and you only got 16megs of ram. Other than the ram it should work perfectly

P.S. TurboLinux is another Pentium or higher distro.

Stampede Linux was also compiled for the Pentium.

Although it might be slow to do so, Redhat should install in your system. Any Intel based system that is an i386 and above should be fine. And I wouldn't get carried away with all the packages.... don't install what you never think you will use!

yeah that is what I thought. I knew about mandrake but not any of the other ones.
It maybe something wrong with the hardware. (but it worked with windows last week so I doubt it.)
Anyway thank you all for the posts.
