Hi all,
I looked up some posts and most of them are recommending Partition Magic for non-destructively re-sizeing partitions. I have had problems with Partition Magic before, it may be something with my hardware... Anyway is there anything else available?
I am running RH 7.2 on AMD Thunderbird 800 512 MB RAM.
I need to resize / and create a new partition,
Thanks,
kowalsky

Have a look at www.gnu.org/software/parted. (http://www.gnu.org/software/parted.) Parted is a utility similar to Partition Magic which may work for you.

The link http://www.gnu.org/software/parted , appears to be non-functional. In fact, a search of th gnu site shows no such program as free software that I can find. I too, could use a good partitioning program. I'll post any good finds on partitioning software.

Please disregard previous post. Sorry, I must have copied and pasted link period and all. Oddly, when I searched gnu, parted was not revealed. As you can see the link does work. My humble apologies.
