SETTING UP CONNECTION

i am a very first time linux user so please, please talk to me like im 5 yrs old on this

im trying to set up my internet connection and dont know how to do this

give me windows and i dont have a prob but like i said....this is very new to me

i want to change because of all the stuff ive heard about stability and such

anyhow

i have a 10\100 ethernet usb pn\796
I wouldnt even know how to install the drivers or where to get them
(told ya im ignorant to linux)

I figured id try it before i bought it so right now i have phat3.3

Does your distro come with the 2.4 kernel? The 2.4 series includes usb support.
