Okay, I'm going to offer to teach some of the teachers at my school about comps in general, and show them what the CLI looks like,a nd th basics for that(environment vars, make their own scripts, probably even use some of the nhf's http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif )
Anywho, i don't have a linux box at home that's permanentley connected, and I'm just wondering if anyone out there would be so kind as to set up a few user accounts? All they would be used for is stuff like links, lynx, and hd navigation. Nothing serious like compiling, or any serious bandwidth hogging.

If not, i can always just go with some free shell server, like sdf.lonestar.org, but you can't use lynx, or ftp or anything in that.

Thanks,

how does one go about distrubiting passwords for accounts on their box securely anyway?

Seems to me that the best thing to do for your show and tell would be to get a copy of VMware (the 30 day trial will work) and use that for the instructors.

You can get a shell account @ sourceforge, or a bunch of other websites. Also, Compaq will let you test drive an awesome Tru64 UNIX box.

http://twu.net

ftp, telnet, web hosting...
10 megs is the limit, and no irc, eggdrops, etc. etc. but I like it. It even runs on Debian too.
