Network Adapter not Detected

I did A Mandrake 8.1 update and now My Linksys LNE 100tx Fast Ethernet Adapter And My Ess 1869 PnP Audio soundcard do not work

When I go to the Mandrake control center to AutoConfigure my internet connection
I get this error :

insmod'ing module tulip failed at /usr/lib/libDrakX/modules.pm line

The items mention above were working no problem now they dont work
if someone Has any infor mation on how to resolve this issue will be appreciated

??? Have a look at Mandrake's support site to see if there are any known issues with those modules when upgrading distro versions.

What is in /usr/lib/libDrakX/modules.pm ?

I just reinstall the OS .Thanks for your advice though could not find anything in Mandrake support. I think Mandrake update should do a better job on telling how ,what,and dependencies of pacakages.
