Last night I installed the 5.99 drivers for my lucent modem and tried to get it connected to the net I was close but couldnt' quite get it. This morning I finally got it connected (I know this because I can ping my isp) the only problem is when I try to go to websites I usually get the host not found error, or if I ping www.linux.com (http://www.linux.com) local host couldn't be found comes up. but it looks like it is trying the bar at the bottome of mozilla is turning and gkrellm shows that once in awhile some data will go trough, 1.9k or 3.8k, though very sparatically. I'm using wvdial to connect and have tried mozilla, netscape and opera but I still can't 'surf the net' in linux. Any ideas?
I wanna use  apt-get  Thanks guys.

p.s. I tried putting my isps nameserver in resolv.conf but that didn't help :(
