As most of you have propably noticed, since a few days the 'ticker' at kernel.org is stuck at latest prepatch 2.4.0-test11 pre7 and latest developer release 2.4.0-test11.
That suggests that 2.4.0-test11 is finished, but they aren't doing any prepaching anymore. My theory is that the next release will be 2.4.0 (final) and that 2.4.0 final is already finsihed, or at least almost finished. Why?
Cuz somewhere in the frontpage LNO news it said that Linus is trying to release 2.4.0 synchroneously with the birthday of his daughter. So couldn't it be that they are finished, but waiting for the daughters birthday to release it, and that's why we don't see any progression on kernel.org anymore? The ticker used to jump from testX to testX+1 almost every day.
What do you think?
