I currently run Debian Woody and run blackbox and a few other packages. I would like to run gnome programs without actually having to install the gnome DE. Can this be one easily? If so, any ideas what packages I need to install?

just do an apt-get install progyouwant and it should get all the library dependancies but not the stuff you don't.
