HELP! My Taskbar is Missing!

Hello again, I'm using RH 7.2 and have hidden my taskbar in KDE. Now I can't get it back! I've tried just about everything.

I've even logged out and logged in as another user but the taskbar is still missing.

Try this from console:
ps ax

Look for a process called kicker. If it isn't there then issue the command below:

kicker [ENTER]

Hey! Thanx Supra... only problem is I issue the command from the GUI 'run command' option after right clicking on the desktop. The bar shows up for half a sec then disappears again!

Sounds like it's hidden. Try moving your mouse to the bottom of the screen and see if it appears again. Otherwise go into the control centre (hopefully you will have a desktop icon) and uncheck the 'hidden' box in the taskbar configuration.

That's what I have my taskbar do. It's nice for smaller monitors. You can set the hide time to keep the task bar longer before it disappears or disable it and keep it on desktop altogether.
